Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Assistant to support its core medical services. In this permanent part-time role, you will be involved in taking blood and specimen samples, preparing them for analysis, and conducting routine lab tests. Your responsibilities also include data entry into the Laboratory Information System and clerical duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:• Take blood and specimen samples from patients • Prepare blood for laboratory analysis • Perform routine laboratory tests accurately • Distribute specimens to appropriate departments • Enter data into the Laboratory Information System

Requirements:• Grade 12 and recognized Laboratory Assistant training • One year of related experience or equivalent training • Valid Canadian Driver's License • Ability to type 25 WPM on approved test • Commitment to assist in ECG testing as required
