Bartender/Server (Peterborough)

Overview We are seeking a friendly and attentive Bartender/Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a high work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages and food, managing transactions, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons. At least 3 years previous restaurant or food industry experience is required, along with familiarity with POS systems. The Bartender/Server will play a key role in maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Must be available days, nights and weekends. Duties - Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently - Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on preferences - Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems, including Micros POS - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards - Serve food and drinks to customers in a timely manner - Manage multiple tables or bar stations while providing attentive customer service - Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest intoxication levels - Restock bar supplies and ingredients as needed throughout shifts - Uphold all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff Skills - Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously - Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently - Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately - Previous restaurant experience is required - Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist guests promptly - Hospitality-oriented mindset with a friendly, approachable demeanor Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $17.60 per hour Experience - Bartending: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Smart Serve (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o25em
