Event Chef (Selwyn)

Kitchen Farmacy Farm to Table Catering is seeking Event Chefs for our upcoming busy season. Our event chefs provide food service in a friendly and professional manner and assist with the overall execution of an event in a team atmosphere. Responsibilities - Set up field kitchen when necessary. - Assist with heating and assembling hors d’ouevres and all plated and buffet items. - Adhere to all ServSafe food practices. - Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner - Ensure proper storage of all items including equipment and perishable foods. - Follow health and safety practices at all times. Skills and Qualifications - Employee is required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, climb, push and pull items up to 50 pounds or less on a regular basis. - Professional appearance, behavior, posture and hygiene. - Team player and ability to work in a fast paced environment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is an hourly position. Approximately 2-3 required dates per week announced with month notice. Flexible schedule using online scheduling platform. Most events are in the Kawartha & Peterborough area. Compensation This is an hourly position. Gratuities may also be paid but are not guaranteed.
