Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals to our guests. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cooking, and meal preparation within a fast-paced restaurant setting. Duties - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure efficient meal assembly - Assist with cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen areas - Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients and equipment - Support the kitchen team during busy service times by efficiently completing assigned tasks - Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations - Assist with basic food service duties such as plating and portioning when required Qualifications - Previous experience in food preparation or as a prep cook is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential - Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques - Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is advantageous - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities - Basic understanding of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes - Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to grow their skills within a professional kitchen setting.
