Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals to our guests. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cooking, and meal preparation within a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure productive meal assembly Assist with cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen areas Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients and equipment Support the kitchen team during busy service times by efficiently completing assigned tasks Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Assist with basic food service duties such as plating and portioning when required Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or as a prep cook is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities Basic understanding of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to grow their skills within a professional kitchen setting.
