Bartender/server Peterborough

Overview We are seeking a friendly and attentive Bartender/Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a high work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages and food, managing transactions, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons. At least 3 years previous restaurant or food industry experience is required, along with familiarity with POS systems. The Bartender/Server will play a key role in maintaining food safety standards and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced setting. Must be available days, nights and weekends. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on preferences Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems, including Micros POS Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards Serve food and drinks to customers in a timely manner Manage multiple tables or bar stations while providing attentive customer service Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest intoxication levels Restock bar supplies and ingredients as needed throughout shifts Uphold all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe setting for guests and staff Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately Previous restaurant experience is required Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Solid communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist guests promptly Hospitality-oriented mindset with a friendly, approachable demeanor Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $17.60 per hour Experience: Bartending: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: Smart Serve (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oqtix
