Ecologist and Site Inspector for R.J. Burnside (Pickering)

Join R.J. Burnside & Associates as an Ecologist and Site Inspector in southern and central Ontario. Collaborate with professionals to deliver impactful ecological services for land development projects. As a member of the Land Development Ecology Team, you will play a key role in guiding ecological project delivery and mentoring junior staff. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 5+ years in ecology and strong project management skills. You will work in a agile environment, ensuring ecological integrity while meeting client needs. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct ecological fieldwork and surveys across Ontario • Complete evaluations of biophysical site conditions • Perform Erosion and Sediment Control inspections • Prepare Environmental Impact Studies and Natural Heritage Evaluations • Communicate effectively with regulatory agencies Requirements: • Bachelor’s in Ecology or related field • 5+ years of ecology experience • Strong technical writing and interpersonal skills • Familiarity with relevant environmental legislation • Experience with ArcGIS is a plus Leverage your ecological expertise and project management skills to support sustainable land development at R.J.
