Bartender/Server (Pickering)

Overview We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional Bartender/Server to join our agile hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a lively environment, whether in a fine dining setting, nightclub, or banquet hall. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent communication skills, and experience with various POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Prior experience in food service, catering, or retail math is a plus. This position requires a strong focus on food safety, responsible alcohol service, and creating memorable guest experiences. Duties - Take orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS - Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of customer service - Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities - Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas - Manage multiple tables or bar stations effectively through excellent time management skills - Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest experience - Assist with catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed - Monitor guest intoxication levels to ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with laws and policies - Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere in various settings such as nightclubs or hospitality venues Qualifications - Previous experience in food service, restaurant, nightclub, or banquet environments preferred - Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable - Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously - Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently - Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures - Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing - Ability to work flexible hours including nights; experience in fine dining or catering is a plus - Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation are essential for success in this role Join our team to deliver outstanding service in a vibrant setting where your hospitality skills can shine!
