Food and Beverage Server (Pickering)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, serving guests, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, customer service, and hospitality within a dynamic food industry setting. Duties - Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards - Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for efficient cashiering and transactions - Greet guests warmly and provide excellent guest services to enhance their dining experience - Manage food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations - Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math for billing purposes - Assist with food presentation and upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities - Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment - Restock supplies as needed and assist in food preparation during busy periods - Ensure timely service by managing time effectively throughout shifts Skills - Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient cashiering - Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction - Knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation standards in the food industry - Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, including serving and food preparation - Ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours - Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing - Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures - Kitchen experience or background in hospitality is a plus - Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor for guest interactions - Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales Pay: $17.60 per hour Perks - On-site parking Experience - Serving: 5 years (required) Licence/Certification - Smart Serve (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2osbxj
