Junior CAD Programmer & LANTEK Layout Operator (Pickering)

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior CAD Programmer & LANTEK Layout Operator with experience in 2D/3D CAD systems such as AutoCAD or Inventor. The ideal candidate will support programming and nesting/layout for sheet metal production, with a robust focus on accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Create and modify 2D/3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar software - Prepare and generate LANTEK layouts and nesting programs for sheet metal cutting - Interpret technical drawings and specifications - Optimize material usage and improve layout efficiency - Collaborate with production and engineering teams - Ensure accuracy of dimensions, tolerances, and part details - Maintain organized drawing files and documentation - Assist with revisions and updates to existing designs Requirements: - Experience with 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar) - Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication - Familiarity with LANTEK software (preferred) - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Good problem-solving and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: - Diploma or certification in CAD, Engineering, or related field - Experience with nesting/layout optimization - Exposure to manufacturing or fabrication environments Why Join Us: - Competitive pay ($22 $27/hr) - Stable, full-time office role - Supportive team environment - Opportunity to grow in CAD and manufacturing programming Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pddp0
