Plant Maintenance/Engineering (Pickering)

Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Pickering area Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00am - 5:30pm Contract: 40 hours per week Salary: £19.70 per hour / £41,000 We are recruiting for a Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing business in the Pickering area, supporting the reliability and performance of plant and equipment across site. This is a hands‑on role focused on reactive breakdown response, planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment Diagnose faults and complete mechanical and basic electrical repairs Support plant rebuilds, installations and equipment upgrades Welding and fabrication work as required Manufacture or modify replacement parts using workshop machinery Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and documented through the CMMS system Work collaboratively with production and wider site teams to minimise downtime What We Are Looking For Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance workplace Strong mechanical maintenance skills with some electrical competency Welding and fabrication experience Good fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability Comfortable using maintenance systems and completing maintenance records Flexible approach with willingness to support overtime when required Desirable Skills NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar Lathe and milling experience 18th Edition electrical qualification Experience with CAD or SolidWorks Exposure to automation or robotic systems This is a great opportunity to join a supportive engineering team within a varied and quick‑paced manufacturing environment, offering long‑term stability and ongoing training opportunities.
