Responsibilities Reporting to the Director, Mechanical Engineering, Completions, lead a team of Section Chiefs and Integration Specialists responsible for the mechanical systems and interior components provided by suppliers across Bombardier’s complete product portfolio.
Work collaboratively with Global and Challenger platform teams, as well as internal and external suppliers, to align priorities and decisions.
Manage the Engineering Statement of Work.
Manage the engineering budget and spend for the department.
Participate in management meetings and organize departmental governance.
Communicate effectively and support decisions and messages to and from management.
Ensure that the management system is in place to organize and control the tasks and the priorities, with appropriate levels of visibility to issues and risks and associated mitigation plan.
Enable employees to reach their goals and deliverables by providing coaching, mentoring and training both for technical and soft skills.
Responsible for deployment of Lessons Learned and Best Project Practices.
Provide support and coordination for Production and In‑Service issue resolution.
Qualifications How to thrive in this role? You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline. Aerospace specialty is an asset.
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex projects in the Aerospace industry with at least ten (10) years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of design tools.
Knowledge of the change management process.
Experience in multi-disciplinary designs.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods.Strong people management and leadership qualities with the ability to mobilize and foster an environment of teamwork within cross‑functional teams facilitating discussions and resolving issues to meet the business objectives.
Demonstrated leadership behaviours that support putting people first, value teamwork, and drive for performance excellence while exhibiting a winning attitude.
Proactive, results‑oriented and innovative with a view for business improvement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus without formal authority.
Fluent in English and French.
