Line Cook (Pointe-Claire)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a quick-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation. Duties - Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards. - Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines. - Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. - Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. - Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. - Adapt to changing menus and special requests from customers. Qualifications - Two years previous experience in food service or as a cook in a restaurant setting is preferred. - Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food handling, and food safety practices. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. - Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. - A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly valued.
