Define and optimize aircraft-level architecture for Electrical Power Distribution. Lead the integration of emerging technologies to enable next‑generation operational capabilities. Influence the design and development of future Bombardier products, including:
Manned aircraft with increased autonomy Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
Drive research and technology initiatives to evaluate and incorporate cutting‑edge solutions into aircraft architecture. Provide technical leadership and guidance on system‑level design decisions impacting safety, performance, and innovation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure architecture solutions align with overall product strategy and regulatory requirements.Monitor industry trends and advancements in power distribution to inform technology roadmaps. Represent Bombardier in technical forums, partnerships, and collaborations related to autonomy and advanced flight systems. How to thrive in this role
You hold Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Formal training in Systems Engineering is an asset. Be eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods security clearance. You have 5+ years of experience in aircraft or complex‑system development and certification, including systems engineering, conceptual design, architecture definition, and requirements‑based verification. Strong knowledge of ARP4754 and ARP4761 is essential.Have experience developing electrical load analysis for aerospace and/or military programs. Possess in‑depth knowledge of requirements management tools and processes. Show curiosity and openness to exploring new technologies and architecture for electrical power distribution. Apply strong analytical and systems‑thinking skills to structure complex problems and maintain clarity across disciplines.Be passionate about innovating aerospace technology and motivated by long‑term goals that shape future platforms. Communicate effectively, tailoring technical concepts and project updates to diverse audiences, and clearly articulate status and risks to stakeholders at all levels.
