About the Role

The Scrum Master will support Fairstone Financial’s vision by managing application software development activities, driving integrated teams to deliver technology solutions that support key product initiatives, coaching agile principles, tracking performance, managing impediments, and ensuring high-quality, well-documented deliverables across engineering teams. The role includes leading daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, monitoring status of requirements, coordinating with program managers and PMO, and overseeing the Definition of Done process. The Scrum Master may also fill temporary positions within the team as needed.Key Responsibilities

Manage application software development activities and coordinated schedules. Participate in the implementation of strategic initiatives. Coach agile principles to stakeholders, release managers, and product development teams. Track team performance through plans, burn‑down charts, and velocity charts.Escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to product development initiatives. Ensure deliverables are high quality and well documented. Conduct daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and continuous learning sessions. Collaborate with technical leads to monitor requirements through design, implementation, and testing.Work with Program Manager(s) and PMO to monitor integrated deployment schedules and resolve resource conflicts. Coordinate product backlog grooming with product owners and teams. Support lean UX and lean engineering environments. Maintain adherence to Scrum, Kanban, and other agreed agile methods.Remove barriers and impediments for development teams. Contribute to product road‑map and release plans. Govern the Definition of Done, including automated tests, security, CI/CD, and contractual deliverables. Fill temporary roles (Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Developer) when required.Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Technology, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science. At least 5 years of experience in development and implementation of enterprise systems. Minimum 5 years of experience working with product development teams using modern, lean product developmentmethods such as user‑centered design, DevOps, public API development, microservices, and acceptance test‑driven development.At least 5 years of experience with Agile and Kanban methodology. Experience with Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian Agile tools. Scrum Master Certification (CSM) preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of start date. Strong communication skills with technical and business partners. Ability to analyze business processes and technology applications.High‑level organisational and prioritisation skills. Strong analytical problem‑solving and creative solution‑design abilities. Ability to influence and hold accountable without direct authority.
