Role Overview The Associate Regional Vice‑President (ARVP) – Business Development – is responsible for retaining and growing assets under administration (AWM) by supporting Assante’s advisory network with practice‑management education, communicating and building support for AWM initiatives, and helping advisors and branches grow and succeed. The ARVP will manage and grow their region, operating with flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit, located in their regional office and traveling throughout their sub‑region to deliver sales presentations and build the business. Responsibilities - Grow AWM’s market share by helping advisors and branches grow their business. - Provide service and support to advisors in the region through proactive outbound sales and service calls. - Support advisor recruitment by proactively developing relationships with prospective advisors, including outbound calls to set up meetings. - Provide timely support, information, and practice‑management strategies to advisors. - Manage and handle incoming advisor calls and service requests. - Develop service and growth strategies, leverage resources appropriately, work closely with business partners, and ensure consistent messaging to the region’s constituents. - Maintain working knowledge of industry competitors, investment vehicles, financial markets, and economic data. - Provide continual feedback to management on practice‑management trends, product requests, competitive information, and marketing and operational matters. - Participate in all required team meetings and training, including regional advisor council meetings. - Track and log all activities, including meetings and notes, into Salesforce/Navigator. Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years financial industry experience, with prior sales, client service, and/or relationship‑management experience in an MFDA/IIROC dealer preferred. - Full understanding of wealth‑management and investment‑product practices and codes. - Robust presentation skills and ability to conduct effective in‑person and phone meetings. - University degree. - Canadian Securities Course, CFP, CIM, and/or CFA (or equivalent) – an asset. Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Extensive knowledge of distribution and wealth‑management, investment themes and products. - Extensive knowledge of investment industry, practice‑management methods, and advisor technology. - Relationship‑management skills; ability to develop, foster, and maintain relationships and inspire trust and confidence. - Ability to make quick and appropriate decisions while consistently working within the regulatory framework. Working Conditions - Travel required to advisors’ offices, road shows, conferences, seminars, and industry events. - Required to work beyond normal working hours. - Normal office environment.
