Manager, Financial Reporting (Port Coquitlam)

Start Date: As soon as possible Permanent, Full time Wage Range: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year As a Manager of Financial Reporting at CIMS LP, you will be a key contributor towards CIMS success by supporting the accounting and payroll functions of the organization while embodying CIMS corporate values of Our People, Our Promise, Our Passion. You will report to the Director of Finance and be accountable for: - Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including but not limited to preparing month-end financial information, ad hoc reports, schedules, and reconciliations. - Managing the appropriate internal controls, identifying and communicating gaps in controls, and maintaining accurate reconciliations and schedules. - Supporting day-to-day activities of the accounting team as well as the AP, AR, payroll, and project accounting teams. - Providing coverage and support for the Manager, Finance as required. A successful candidate would be an individual who has: - An Undergraduate degree with a CPA designation or foreign equivalent. - Minimum 2+ years of experience post CPA in accounting with progressive responsibilities. - Public practice accounting experience, Assurance focus preferred. - Strong leadership capabilities with an ability to innovatively and creatively solve problems. - Ability to drive strategic initiatives and identify opportunities and act upon them to support the strategic goals of the company. Working conditions you can expect while performing your role include: - Office environment, working to deadlines, some high stress situations (i.e. meeting deadlines). - May be required to work outside of normal work hours to meet the needs of the business.
