Description
We are looking for Warehouse Associate (Picker) duties include gathering items to prepare for shipping, completing the corresponding paperwork for the order, and assisting with inventory movement throughout the warehouse. Summary Must be able to work with attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. You will need to enjoy working independently and typically within a busy environment. Following policies and procedures and working safely are critical to ensuring that the warehousing operation continues to work smoothly and without interruption. - When containers arrive, de-stuff, unload, and appropriately place the incoming inventory items. Promptly report any shortages or discrepancies. - Receive, check, and verify products accurately to match the order specifications. Gather items to fulfill orders promptly and precisely - Complete all necessary paperwork accurately within the required timeframe - Use RF scanners to locate products efficiently - Put away incoming inventory into specified bin locations - Examine both ingoing and outgoing shipments, inspect products for defects and damages - Re-stock inventory manually and/or with warehouse equipment. Regularly replenish stock to meet demand - Organize stock systematically. Proper shelving and labelling enhance efficiency. - Regularly maintain inventory to prevent clutter and ensure accurate counts - Assist with inventory cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy - Load and unload inventory, stock, and supplies as required. Safety precautions are essential during these tasks - Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily to maintain a safe work environment - Maintain equipment and promptly report any malfunctions. Well-functioning tools are crucial for productivity. - Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations to protect yourself and others. - Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures Requirements - Able to read, sort, check, count and verify numbers - Capable of lifting and manipulating objects, regularly lifting and moving objects up to 25 kg (50 lbs.) - Ability to stay on feet for long periods; frequently required to stand, walk and kneel - Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance - Good physical strength and stamina - Must work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent at times - Enjoy working in a fast-paced, busy environment Qualifications - High School Graduate - Good verbal and written communication skills - Valuable numerical skills - Forklift license considered an assest Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits: - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match Application question(s): - Are you certified to operate a forklift? - Are you legally permitted to work 40 hours per week?
