Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning setting for young children. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development and learning, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth through innovative teaching methods and compassionate care. The role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a genuine love for working with children. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in English and French, with experience in special education or working with children with disabilities, are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities - Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning. - Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. - Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. - Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records of developmental milestones. - Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or accommodations for disabilities. - Collaborate with team members to plan activities that enhance social skills, motor skills, and cognitive abilities. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and resources. - Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns. - Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices. Skills - Proficiency in English; bilingual skills in French are highly desirable. - Strong understanding of childcare principles and early childhood education methodologies. - Experience working with children in classroom settings; familiarity with classroom management techniques. - Knowledge of special education strategies and working with children with disabilities is a plus. - Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. - Competent in computer operation and basic computer skills for record keeping and communication purposes. - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. - Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide and mentor colleagues or interns. - Effective time management skills to balance planning, instruction, documentation, and collaboration duties. This position is integral to creating a positive early learning experience for children while supporting their individual needs through compassionate care and educational excellence.
