Food Truck Line Cook (Port Moody)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation. Duties - Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. - Ensure all food handling and preparation practices comply with food safety regulations. - Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen and dining areas. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. - Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management. - Help train recent kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Experience - Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. - Familiarity with food handling, preparation, and safety standards in the food industry. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. - Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. - Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures is a plus.
