Janitor (La Ronge)

Together with others, we work to build capacity and educate as we address both acute needs and the determinants of health. About the position: Working 7.5-hour shift, some overtime may be required. This position is responsible for the provision of general janitorial duties. The main goal is to ensure that our buildings meet Health & Safety Standards and Occupational Safety Standards. Duties: - Ensure Occupational Health & Safety Standards are met; - Will perform and maintain janitorial services inside and outside of the buildings/facilities. - Maintain sanitation of the buildings and grounds; - Order supplies and keep track on inventory control; - Maintain the clinic/facility in an appropriate and cost-effective manner; - Must be able to follow a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Seasonal check list; - Ensuring Water Quality Data Sheet Presence/Absence Testing reports completed each workday as per the log report. Qualifications: - Minimum Grade 10; Pervious Janitorial experience is an asset; Certification in WHMIS and First Aide & CPR is an asset (or will to obtain); - Willing to learn new skills and take further training as required; - Must be able to work independently, self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills; - Basic Computer Skills; - Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset; - Knowledge of Woodland Cree Language, Culture and Traditional an asset; - Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset; Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
