Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, this position is located in our Saskatoon, SK office. This role has overall responsibility for providing Piping Design support on our major projects within Mining Industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of the layout, design and specification of piping systems and components for industrial plants and related infrastructure. Expected Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CADCAM, Design and Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Drafting and Design equivalent technical program. 3-5 years’ experience as a piping designer, preferably with experience in mining and slurry transport. Self‑motivated with good leadership and interpersonal skills. Proven experience and proficiency with AutoCAD 2D/3D, AutoPlant, Plant 3D as well as AVEVA E3D. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks. Ability to work independently and in a multi‑disciplinary team setting. Additional assets include: Potash, Uranium or other mining experience, Design experience with specification generation, stress analysis and mechanical equipment layout, materials handling, and_/or HVAC underground mining experience, site/construction experience.
