Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Description Required Qualifications 1. University Degree in Victimology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Indigenous Studies, or Social Work or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience acquired from working in the field of Victim Services, or Law Enforcement. 2. Minimum of 3 years’ recent relevant experience in the field of victim services or experience as a Law Enforcement member of a Victim Services Program Unit. 3. Experience in the delivery of adult education and training. Working knowledge of and ability to apply theory, basic principles and practices of adult education within various delivery systems. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of the critical role Victim Service professionals play in reducing the harmful effects of victimization and re-victimization 5. Working knowledge of current trends and research in the field of victim services 6. Demonstrated problem solving, strong decision making and strategic planning skills. 7. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written). 8. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, Bright space, MS Office Suite software and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology. 9. Experience working with Aboriginal communities and new Canadians. 10. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing setting. 11. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
