About The Role As an Intermediate Application Support Analyst, you will be a part of the Ministry of Health Support Services team within eHealth’s Partnership Services department. This position plays a vital role in supporting mission-critical applications that directly impact patient care and requires a strong team player with a customer-focused mindset, who is committed to delivering responsive, high-quality support and building positive relationships with clients and colleagues. You will maintain, support, and enhance multi-user, enterprise-scale applications to ensure reliability, performance, and alignment with organizational standards. You will analyze and resolve application issues, assess the impact of upgrades and changes, and contribute to continuous system improvement within a complex, integrated healthcare IT environment, applying technical expertise and system knowledge to deliver high-quality solutions that support continuity of care and operational efficiency. What You’ll Do Reporting to the Manager, Partnership Services Ministry of Health, you will: - Support and maintain existing systems to ensure stability and performance. - Investigate and resolve issues within application code and data structures. - Monitor production systems to identify performance issues and opportunities for improvement. - Research and analyze impacts of upgrades, patches, and new releases on applications. - Test applications to ensure quality assurance and alignment with client needs. - Apply code changes and contribute to application development and enhancements. - Assist clients with retrieving and analyzing data. - Ensure adherence to eHealth architecture, development standards, and guidelines. - Determine optimal approaches to programming efforts and solution development. - Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system improvements and initiatives. What You’ll Bring To The Team - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. - Minimum 3 years of experience as an Application Support Analyst or a similar role within an integrated support environment. - Experience with enterprise application support and development. - Proficiency in programming and development technologies such as ASP (classic and .NET), VB (.NET), .NET Framework/Core. - Working knowledge of SQL, SSIS packages, stored procedures, and database concepts. - Experience with Visual Studio (2005–2019), IIS, and Citrix/XenApp application delivery. - Understanding of application performance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices. - Experience with requirements analysis, solution design, code reviews, revision control, and unit testing. - Familiarity with service-level protocols, change management practices, and quality control procedures. - Background working with integrated, enterprise-scale systems in a healthcare environment would be an asset. Interpersonal: Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships that foster trust, credibility, and effective service, while supporting others in developing system knowledge and confidence. Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve team and organizational objectives while maintaining positive, productive working relationships. Organizational: Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines in dynamic environments while adapting to changing requirements without compromising quality. Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and synthesize complex technical information into actionable insights that support organizational needs. Technical: Ability to design, develop, test, and maintain systems and applications within an integrated environment, applying programming concepts (e.g., ASP, VB, .NET, SQL), database principles, and best practices in requirements analysis, code reviews, unit testing, and change management.
