Job Description WSP is looking for an Environmental Scientist to join its Remediation Program Management (RPM) team across Canada. You will work on complex, high-profile projects, collaborating across disciplines to deliver solutions that transform environmental outcomes. Opportunity The RPM team supports contaminated site management services across the country, handling health & safety, Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, risk assessment, and remediation projects. Your role will involve field work, project coordination, and client delivery in a hybrid workplace (remote and office). Responsibilities Apply and expand technical, client delivery, and project delivery skills within a Canadian‑based firm. Design and support environments where people, families, and neighbors can thrive. Maintain work‑life balance, logging in remotely or attending the office in a hybrid solution of up to 3 days a week. Identify and understand project objectives, develop work instructions and health & safety plans, and communicate ideas to project managers, directors, and mentors. Plan and improve project health and safety plans under the Zero Harm policy. Participate as a member of a 10‑20 person client‑specific delivery team while leveraging the broader RPM group. Collaborate with Practice Area Networks (PAN) to resolve complex technical issues, drawing on global expertise. Complete fieldwork assignments across Alberta foothills and up to 50% in Western/Northern Canada. Lead or support technically challenging projects in Western and Northern Canada. Qualifications Enjoy outdoor work and understand that office work constitutes up to 50% of the role. Desire to travel and see different parts of Western and Northern Canada. Experience leading class or academic projects. Excellent communication skills and a natural coordinator. Sensitivity to soil contamination and safety protocols. Strong desire for continuous learning. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field. 3 to 6 years of environmental industry experience. Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $62,900 – $83,600 MB & ON: $69,900 – $92,900 NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $76,900 – $102,100 Disclosure: Final salary may vary based on education, qualifications, experience, seniority, geography, performance, and business needs.
