Description
Research Associate (BSW Clinical Team) The Research Associate – Bachelor of Social Work will work in the Online Therapy Unit for Service, Education and Research located at the University of Regina. This unit is responsible for developing and evaluating an Internet‑delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (ICBT) for various mental health conditions in Saskatchewan. The Research Associate (Clinical Team) provides intake support to therapists by completing screening interviews with clients interested in ICBT, tracks client flow through the unit, and supplies the Operations Director and Executive Director with basic statistics on service use. The position also assists with administrative and research tasks, including social media, advertising and promoting services, data entry and analysis, preparation of slides, preparing letters to physicians regarding clients, and connecting with clients to gather follow‑up information. The Research Associate (Clinical Team) must be registered to practice in Saskatchewan with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW). They will follow protocols approved by the Research Ethics Board, maintain client records in accordance with health record legislation and research protocol, and contribute to the planning and executing of studies. What You’ll Bring to this Position Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with relevant skills and experience in mental health. Registered in good standing with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers for the duration of employment. Self‑directed and able to work independently within a team. Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, critical thinking, and sound clinical, legal and ethical judgment. Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with other providers and the research team. Highly developed written and oral communication skills. Strong computer skills. Robust organizational and time‑management skills. Previous experience working with a mental health population (asset). Previous experience conducting assessments on the phone (asset). Preference for candidates with a combination of both clinical and research experience. Physical Demands None specified. Pay and Salary Research Salary Range: $63,472.50 – $73,846.50 annually, dependent on experience and training of candidate. Term & Position Status The position is a term, full‑time role (37.5 hours per week) from June 8, 2026 to September 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension. Location: University of Regina (on‑site; remote work not available). Work Hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (37.5 hours per week). Additional Information Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and the work associated with this position must be performed within Canada.
