LevelGL-MAN-07 (C2). Temporary full‑time position for approximately one year. Duties Operating and maintaining equipment used in research and field activities. Assisting with planning, field set‑up, and seeding of trials. Handling chemicals throughout the season to control weeds, diseases, and insects. Harvesting trials in the fall using a combine. Supporting research assistants by taking field notes, assessing pest issues, and helping plan field activities. Assisting with sample collection, and organizing shipping and receiving of samples. Requirements Essential qualifications Education: Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience. Experience: Operating farm equipment (e.g., tractors, drills, sprayers, and combines); planning and coordinating field operations; handling agricultural chemicals; Microsoft Word & Excel; purchasing, shipping, and receiving. Knowledge: Western Canadian crops and local farming practices; herbicides, fungicides and insecticides; soil fertilizer and nitrogen management. Competencies: Planning and organization; teamwork; adaptability; concern for safety. Language: English (essential). Valid class5 Saskatchewan driver’s licence or provincial/territorial equivalent. Valid pesticide applicator licence. Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends; perform physically demanding work; work with hazardous materials; work in harsh environmental conditions; manage allergies safely. Preferred / Asset Qualifications Valid forklift operator licence. Valid class1A driver’s licence. Agricultural research experience. Experience supervising small work groups and managing schedules.
