Financial Analyst - Global R&D Controller (Saskatchewan)

The Global R&D; Controller role in Siemens Healthcare Point of Care will initiate, execute and evaluate the effectiveness of planning, analysis and reporting activities within the business area. This role partners and leads cross‑functional teams, generates financial insights in the monthly/quarterly global results, and provides key presentations on financial status at various management meetings. Responsibilities This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional looking for the next step in their career. As a Global R&D; Controller, you will be responsible for: Guiding the analysis of financial results to determine accuracy and completeness of information. Developing various financial reports and reviews with management on financial plans and budgets, including rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, budgeting, and financial performance comparisons. Guiding and maintaining conformance to IFRS requirements and coordinating with auditors. Driving and optimizing financial performance for R&D; and capital investment projects, making recommendations to management, and implementing performance improvements through data‑driven decisions. Conducting financial project plans for ongoing and new R&D; projects. Conducting quarterly ASTAR reporting and compliance certification. Conducting quarterly R&D; tax surveys and compliance. Maintaining functional independence and providing a controlling function with proactive communication and analysis to the POC Business Line. Approximately 10% travel required. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Experience: 3‑5 years of progressive analytical and controlling experience, with demonstrated career progression in a similar setting. Competencies Ability to distill business processes and results into actionable information for senior leadership, with very strong presentation skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and quality orientation. Excellent communication and networking skills; pro‑active attitude and intercultural sensitivity. Team player who can manage horizontal teams and lead cross‑functional efforts. Knowledge and experience in project management. Strong business acumen and understanding of complex organizational and budgeting processes. Expertise in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP BW (Data Warehouse reporting) and healthcare R&D; developmental methodology. Understanding of intangible capitalization of development projects and its impact on financial statements. Ability to optimize and standardize process workflows with a track record of driving business improvements. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree, MBA, CPA or equivalent. Experience working in an international business setting with cross‑cultural communication. Strong experience with data analytics tools. Experience in Healthcare business and understanding of Healthcare diagnostics dynamics. Compensation: $84,500‑$120,500 CAD, with additional factors such as geography, skills, education, and experience considered.
