Accounting and Tax Manager (Saskatchewan)

TAAG’s service lines include accounting and bookkeeping, tax planning, multi-family office services including wealth management, business and corporate law, and marketing and design. Manager of Accounting and Tax to oversee our accounting operations, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and provide tax advisory services. The ideal candidate will lead the accounting team, manage tax planning and reporting processes, and drive efficiencies to support TAAG’s financial goals. Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns. Lead tax planning initiatives to minimize liabilities and identify opportunities. Keep updated with changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff. Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and foster professional growth within the team. Develop and implement tax strategies and planning solutions for clients, including creating formalized tax planning tools for retirement. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA designation or active CPA student status considered an asset. 5+ years of progressive accounting and tax experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage Simply Accounting, QuickBooks, Tax prep and CaseWare) and Microsoft Excel. Solid knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations. Experience preparing tax returns (personal, corporate, partnership and trust). Completion of CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course (or Master of Tax) an asset. Knowledge or exposure to ASPE/IFRS would be considered an asset. Committed to delivering quality work while meeting tight deadlines. Bilingualism (English/French) an asset.
