Security Guard (Prince Albert)

Responsibilities - Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by verifying identification and issuing passes as needed. - Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry. - Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by assessing situations accurately and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. - Implement loss prevention strategies by observing for theft or misconduct and reporting findings according to company protocols. - Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, visitor entries/exits, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping. - Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations when required, demonstrating readiness to assist colleagues or visitors in distress. - Enforce safety policies and conflict management procedures with professionalism and calmness to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Qualifications - Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement, military service, or private security is highly desirable. - Certifications in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), conflict management, or surveillance systems are a plus. - Knowledge of CCTV operation, loss prevention techniques, and basic law enforcement procedures enhances effectiveness in this role. - Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security risks quickly and accurately. - Excellent communication skills for explicit reporting and interaction with team members, visitors, and emergency responders. - Ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrols across various environments comfortably.
