The Shift Supervisor is an hourly paid (non‑exempt) position and entails supervision and direction of crew activities during the scheduled shift. The role is operational in nature, focused on maximizing guest satisfaction, and responsible for the following during the shift: Responsibilities Display knowledge of and work in compliance with Tim Hortons operating, food safety, security, health and safety, employment standards and applicable legislation. Ensure all product and packaging is properly merchandised and stocked. Responsible for shift cash procedures. Maintain operational efficiency through use of positioning charts and pre‑rush checklists. Supervise employees to ensure primary and secondary duties are completed. Ensure all store policies are followed during the shift (e.g., cash policies, meal and break policies, food safety policies, accident/injury/illness policies). Monitor for, respond to and report unsafe acts and conditions to store management. Complete all required shift documentation (e.g., records waste). Display knowledge of and ensure compliance with the Always Fresh Evaluation Report and Always Fresh Back of House Report. Perform other duties as required. Additional requirements Must be available to work adaptable opening/closing shifts, including weekends. No minimum shift length is stated, but this is a full‑time position averaging 32 hours or more per week. Must be able to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 30 pounds. Must be fluent in English. Hold a valid open work permit and/or Canadian citizenship. Previous experience in a supervisory role is an asset. Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience in the quick‑service restaurant industry or one year in a quick‑service position, preferably at Tim Hortons. Excellent organization and communication skills. Solid leadership and interpersonal skills. Guest service oriented and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Embrace the Servant Leadership model to positively train, communicate and help team members. Demonstrate a passion for leading, coaching and serving the team. Having a driver's licence and your own vehicle is an asset. Current certification in approved food safety training is an asset. Ability to consistently adhere to policies and procedures. Flexible to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Additional physical requirements include frequent manual dexterity of both hands, and regular exposure to cold or sub‑freezing temperatures, as well as high heat temperatures from walk‑in refrigerators, freezers and ovens. For high performing Team Members, there may be growth opportunities as a Shift Manager, Assistant Manager and other leadership positions.
