Instructor - Early Childhood Administration - Continuing Education Contract (ECE 111 - Facility Operations for Early Learning Programs) Position Summary: Faculty member responsible for delivering the faculty course “ECE 111 – Facility Operations for Early Learning Programs” across a series of dates. Coordinates course content, assesses student progress, and supports a blended learning environment through the Brightspace platform. Contract details: begins 08/31/2026 and ends 06/30/2027; paid $60 per hour; total hours based on student enrollment. Responsibilities Verify course content and links; update resources as necessary. Evaluate and record student progress using assessments, assignments, and observations in accordance with program and institute guidelines. Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using appropriate instructional methodologies in support of a blended learning experience. Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students on the required learning platform (Bright Space). Work cooperatively in an interdependent team workplace. Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Qualifications Recognized relevant four‑year degree (Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Child and Youth Studies, Bachelor’s in Child Development). Two years’ recent and relevant experience in an Early Learning and Childcare Education setting as an Early Childhood Educator/Teacher/ECE Instructor. Knowledge of provincial regulations and ministry requirements related to early childhood education. Ability to create and manage budgets. Knowledge of human resources practices. Effective interpersonal skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective instructional ability. Demonstrated competence and recent experience with the internet, e‑mail, MS Office Suite and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
