Lead field teams as an Industrial Backpack Crew Leader and manage vegetation tasks. This seasonal, full-time role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and effective management of invasive species.

The position reports to the Field Supervisor, responsible for assigning daily tasks and ensuring compliance with environmental guidelines while treating invasive plants. A focus on safety is paramount; you will conduct training sessions and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in hazardous situations. Collaboration with project managers and stakeholders is essential for successful vegetation management across a broad geographic area.

Key Responsibilities:• Assign daily tasks to crew members for project completion • Oversee treatment of invasive plant species using various methods • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions • Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate project tasks • Maintain accurate records of managementactivities

Requirements:• 2-3 years of Vegetation Management experience • Post-secondary education in a related field preferred • Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License required • Supervisory experience is an asset • Valid BC Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification preferred
