Overview Blue Water Sushi is seeking skilled and motivated Cooks to join our team. This is an on-site role in a quick-paced restaurant environment. Requirements - Language: English - Education: Secondary school diploma - Experience: 1–2 years Key Responsibilities - Prepare sushi rolls and menu items following recipes - Cut and portion fish, vegetables, and other ingredients - Cook hot items (tempura, rice dishes, noodles) - Prepare sushi rice, sauces, and garnishes - Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization - Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation - Follow food safety standards - Assist with inventory, storage, and stock rotation - Clean equipment, utensils, and work areas - Support team during busy service periods Work Environment - Fast-paced, physically demanding - Standing for long periods - Repetitive tasks, heavy lifting - Attention to detail required Skills & Qualities - Team player, reliable, organized - Flexible, dependable, good judgment - Client-focused with strong initiative Specialization - Sushi preparation - International cuisine Benefits - Health care plan - Gratuities Employment Equity We support youth employment through training, mentorship, and inclusive workplace practices.
