Position Overview Kootenay Columbia College is seeking motivated and knowledgeable Instructors to join our Digital Business Management (DBM), Project Management (PM), and Tourism & Hospitality Management (THM) programs. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction aligned with current industry practices and subject matter expertise, supporting student learning, and contributing to the overall success and continuous improvement of the programs. Class Schedules Digital Business Management (DBM) & Tourism & Hospitality Management (THM) - Monday to Thursday : 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM - Project Management (PM) - Monday to Friday : 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Requirements All instructors must meet the following qualification requirements: - A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma (or higher) directly related to the program area, plus a minimum of 2 years of industry experience (excluding any teaching or training experience), - OR - If there is no directly related education, at least 10 years of documented direct industry experience in the relevant field (excluding teaching experience) - Candidates must be based in British Columbia and have valid work authorization. Key Responsibilities - Deliver instruction in accordance with college policies and program standards - Provide high-quality teaching grounded in relevant industry experience and subject matter expertise - Facilitate a respectful, engaging, and inclusive learning workplace - Assess, evaluate, and monitor student performance and progress - Provide timely feedback, guidance, and academic support to students - Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports - Collaborate with program coordinators and academic leadership - Support curriculum delivery, updates, and continuous improvement initiatives - Mentor and guide students throughout their learning journey Skills and Competencies - Strong knowledge and/or professional experience in Digital Business, Project Management, Tourism, or Hospitality industries - Ability to deliver subject matter aligned with real-world industry practices - Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Ability to motivate, inspire, and support diverse student groups - Professional attitude with a commitment to quality education - Comfortable using technology to enhance teaching and learning - Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administrative teams Why Join Us At KCC, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by sharing your industry expertise and helping shape future professionals in the above sectors.
