Intermediate Designer / Technologist (British Columbia)

Intermediate Designer/Technologist – Burnaby, BC Primary is seeking an intermediate designer/technologist to join our Utility Design team in Burnaby, BC. In this role, you will support the design and coordination of underground and overhead electrical distribution infrastructure projects, working closely with project managers, designers, drafters, inspectors, clients, utilities, municipalities, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will assist with electrical and civil design, project estimating, calculations, drawing reviews, site visits, schedule tracking, and design coordination. This position is a great prospect for someone with utility distribution design experience who is motivated, collaborative, and interested in contributing to continuous improvement across tools, processes, and documentation. What we’re looking for: An engineering technologist diploma or engineering degree, preferably in electrical or civil, along with at least 1 year of experience in electrical utility distribution design. A Class 5 driver’s license is required.
