Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifies customer needs, and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Responsibilities Collaborate within the branch and across channels with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve business objectives. Identify customer needs and initiate referrals to BMO colleagues. Support customer requests for banking services, including handling transactions and inquiries. Welcome customers warmly and meet their banking service and transactional needs with seamless execution. Offer advice and guidance on available digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast. Review customer profiles and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify potential opportunities and address everyday banking, credit card, and other needs. Escalate complex or unresolved customer situations to managers as required. Contribute to meeting branch business results and the overall customer experience. Support operational activities such as inventory management, service requests, and follow‑up on customer applications. Manage, load, and reconcile cash transactions between treasury and branch units. Execute routine tasks within established service level agreements. Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team. Probe to understand personal banking and credit card needs and integrate marketing promotions into conversations. Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness. Take initiative to find creative approaches that personalize each customer experience. Seek ways to improve the overall customer experience. Work at multiple branches or through various channels as required; schedule may vary weekly. Follow risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard assets and protect privacy. Stay current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and ethical requirements. Maintain knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends. Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity related to money laundering. Comply with all legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements. Complete standardized tasks under supervision and perform initial problem‑solving within defined limits. Qualifications No prior experience necessary; a post‑secondary degree or certification in a related field is desirable. High‑level knowledge of personal, commercial, and partner offers and how they serve customers’ needs. Confidence and experience using social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools. Ability to help customers who find digital applications intuitive, building confidence in their use. Professional presence and basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions. Passionate commitment to helping customers and focus on delivering a personal experience. Resourceful self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers. Readiness to collaborate and work in a team. Strong interpersonal skills, including building rapport and connections. Aptitude for listening, problem‑solving, and flexible creative responses to new challenges. Basic knowledge acquired on the job. Basic verbal and written communication skills in a business setting. Basic organization skills in a business environment. Basic collaboration and teamwork skills in a business environment. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $34,750.00 - $47,250.00 (Salaried). Salaries vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Part‑time roles are pro‑rated. Commission roles use the above figure as the expected first‑year target.
