Landscape Labourer (Trenton)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and contribute to the creation and maintenance of beautiful outdoor spaces. This role involves hands-on work in various landscaping projects, requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor work. The ideal candidate will support landscape construction, maintenance, and horticultural tasks to ensure high-quality results for our clients. Responsibilities - Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators - Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching - Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas - Support gardening activities such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees with attention to horticultural best practices - Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently - Assist with construction projects such as building retaining walls, pathways, or other landscape features - Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure safety and functionality - Follow safety protocols at all times during outdoor work environments Skills - Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is a plus - Strong gardening and horticulture skills for planting and landscape care - Mechanical knowledge related to maintaining and troubleshooting landscape machinery - Proficiency in using hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, drills) safely - Understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, edging, pruning, and fertilizing - Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions with stamina and attention to detail - Construction experience or familiarity with building landscape features is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment while developing skills across various aspects of landscape construction and maintenance.
