Production Supervisor (Trenton)

Position Summary Electro Cables, now part of Nexans, is seeking a Production Supervisor to support and strengthen manufacturing operations in Trenton, Ontario. This position is primarily based at the Sidney Street facility, with the expectation that the successful candidate will provide supervisory coverage at the Riverside location, as required to support operational needs. As operations continue to evolve and expand, this role will contribute to maintaining efficient, safe, and high-performing production across both facilities. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities to ensure operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and performance expectations. This job posting is for a current opening within Electro Cables. Compensation The starting wage range for this position is $32.00 – $36.00 per hour. The starting rate will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications. Work Schedule This position requires a high degree of flexibility. Work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include: - Rotating shifts (Monday to Friday), and/or - Participation in a regular weekend rotation. The weekend rotation schedule is shared among the supervisory team. Hours of work may be adjusted to meet operational requirements. Flexibility to support shift coverage across departments and locations is required. Employees may be required to work overtime from time to time to support operational needs, including coverage for absences, vacations, and increased production demands. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate daily production activities - Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards - Monitor production performance and ensure established KPIs are achieved - Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency - Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to employees - Support training and development initiatives - Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources Qualifications - Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment - Strong computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in production reporting and KPI tracking - Ability to analyze data and support operational decision-making - Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills - Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety - Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced, multi-shift environment Additional Information - Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada - Candidates may be required to complete skills and/or aptitude testing - Performance management and ongoing evaluation will be a key component of this role - Electro Cables does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen, assess, or select applicants for this position Company Overview Electro Cables, a Nexans company, is a leading manufacturer of wire and cable products.
