Server/Cashier (Trenton)

Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is vital in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth operations at the front of house, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, cashiering, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Duties - Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit - Take customer orders accurately using Micros POS or similar systems - Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations - Prepare simple food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards - Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including dining spaces and service stations - Ensure food handling procedures meet health regulations and safety standards - Assist in setting up dining areas and restocking supplies as necessary - Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction Skills - Experience with food preparation, serving, and cashiering in a restaurant or food service environment - Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS; ability to learn new technology quickly - Robust customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor - Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures - Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and transactions efficiently - Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy - Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience - Kitchen experience or familiarity with food industry operations is a plus - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and are committed to providing outstanding service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
