Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, specializing in both residential and commercial painting projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in residential and commercial painting, and wall paper application. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to transform spaces with precision and professionalism. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment Utilize hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks Manage rigging and scaffolding as needed for high or hard-to-reach areas Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met Experience Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, as well as power tools like sanders and spray guns Knowledge of carpentry basics for surface preparation and minor repairs is a plus Strong customer service skills to address client needs professionally Effective time management skills to complete projects within deadlines Experience with restoration projects is desirable but not mandatory Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding project progress and requirements Job Types: Full time, Part time Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nmclc
