Educator for Students with Disabilities, Central Foothills (Sundre)

This position involves creating engaging learning opportunities tailored to meet the complex needs of students aged 6 to 19. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families, utilizing effective classroom-management techniques and leadership skills to guide support staff and ensure an inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:• Design a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment • Create individualized programs using IPPs for student learning • Collaborate effectively with teams and families • Lead specialized aides to support student engagement • Provide personal care assistance as required

Requirements:• Hold interim or permanent certification from Alberta Education • Experience in special education is highly preferred • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities • Flexibility and patience in diverse situations • Knowledge of Indigenous cultural perspectives is valued
