Part-time Sales Associate (Lacombe)

Job Summary Healthfitters is a boutique-style health shoppe seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with product selection and processing their transactions, and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge. This role requires an interest in natural health, a friendly demeanor, the ability to engage with customers in a retail environment, and a willingness to create a clean and inviting shopping environment that our customers enjoy and love. Candidates who have experience in a natural health setting and/or retail sales and merchandising will be highly valued. However, we provide excellent training and support to our staff. This role is a temporary maternity leave part-time position but may turn into a permanent position. Starting wages are contingent upon product knowledge, qualifications, and experience. Opportunities for advancement and further pay raises are available. Duties - Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide personalized service. - Demonstrate product features and benefits to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. - Prepare attractive merchandising displays. - Utilize POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately. - Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. - Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively inform customers. - Assist in inventory management, including pricing, restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays. - Process online orders, packaging, and arranging shipping to online customers. - Collaborate with management and team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment. - Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a seamless shopping experience. - General cleaning inside the store and shoveling walkways during winter. - Update product offerings on website. - Create posts for social media and respond to inquiries from followers when our marketing team needs assistance. - Opening and closing the store. Requirements - Skilled in appearance and attitude. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - A passion for natural health and a desire to learn how to help customers find the right solutions for their needs. Experience in natural health would be an asset. - Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. - Familiarity with POS systems and retail operations is preferred. - Previous experience in retail sales and merchandising are preferred. - Proficiency with computers is essential; experience with content creation on Canva and social media are highly valued. - A proactive approach to selling, with experience in upselling or technical sales being highly desirable. - Flexibility can be granted in terms week days, however, you will be required to work between 10am and 5pm on any given weekday. Saturday hours are from 10am to 4pm. Closed long weekends. - Ability to work unsupervised once properly trained. - Friendly, approachable, and enjoys working with the public.
