Employer Overview Total Oilfield Rentals offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Our mission is to exceed customer expectations by supplying superior rental equipment, transportation services and product support. Position Summary Reporting to the Branch Manager, the dispatcher will be responsible to coordinate personnel and optimize trucking delivery schedules of surface rentals. They will work to resolve logistic problems that arise. Lastly, they must always ensure proper safety procedures are being carried followed. The Dispatcher must be in possession of a valid driver’s license. This position is fulltime and is based out of our Blackfalds location. Time Commitment 10 days on / 4 days off. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): - Coordinate jobs – this includes timing, selecting the appropriate equipment for the job and which personnel to dispatch. - Coordinate off duty time for drivers in compliance with Federal Hours of Service. - Supervise / assist loading and unloading of equipment at the branch. - Ensures that all HSE procedures and guidelines are followed by designated personnel (drivers, swamper and maintenance technicians) - Ensuring systematic delivery and resolution of customer inquiries and information. - Communicate with operations and customers to ensure a high level of customer service. - Coordinate with management on equipment availability. - Collect, document and disseminate accurate information to / from customers and drivers. - Additional duties as assigned. Required Competencies - Basic Microsoft Suite skills - Excellent customer service skills. - Working knowledge of ATU / Federal HOS regulations - Experience with permits is an asset. - Robust negotiating and problem-solving skills. - Supervisory skills are an asset. - Previous dispatch experience is an asset What We Offer - Competitive compensation package - Health & Dental benefit coverage - Generous Employee Stock Savings Plan – 150% employer match contribution We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
