Position Title Philosophy Instructor– Sessional (8.5 month appointment)

Responsibilities Teach a combination of eight (8) first-year introductory and various intermediate philosophy courses. Possible courses include professional ethics, philosophy of technology, philosophy of law, and philosophy in fiction.

Deliver instruction on campus and/or online (synchronous or asynchronous). Requires a regular on‑campus presence and modest service expectations.

Support student success by creating an engaging and supportive learning environment responsive to student needs.

Engage in continuous professional development to maintain currency in disciplinary knowledge and teaching practice.

Explore opportunities for scholarly and creative activities that advance the discipline and community.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Philosophy

Preferred: Postsecondary teaching experience with philosophy courses at junior and senior levels.

Salary&Benefits Salary commensurate with education and experience.
