Psychology Instructor, Continuous Appointment (Probationary) We are seeking a probationary continuous instructor in Psychology who will contribute to the BA and BSc degrees in Psychology. The successful candidate will teach a combination of introductory, intermediate, and senior‑level courses, with at least two sections of PSYC 2713 “Research Methods” and PSYC 4705 “Research in Psychology” on an annual basis. The role requires frequent on‑campus presence and offers opportunities for course release for research and service‑related duties.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning experiences across multiple modalities.
Encourage and support student success by responding to their needs and promoting critical thinking.
Engage in continuous professional development to maintain discipline expertise and instructional practice.
Pursue scholarly and creative activities that advance the discipline and strengthen institutional research profile.
Contribute to the local, national, and global communities through knowledge sharing and engagement.
Qualifications
Required: PhD in Psychology or scheduled PhD defense date.
Preferred: PhD in Psychology, experience teaching post‑secondary psychology courses from introductory to upper‑level, and advising senior undergraduate research projects.
