We are a growing, inclusive local business in Ottawa looking for a skilled Part-Time Groomer to join our mobile team. * Desire and ability to provide additional pet care - dog walking - considered a major plus. * In this role, you won't be flying solo. You’ll be backed by a dedicated driver and groomer’s assistant, allowing you to do what you do best: provide top-tier styling and compassionate care to our furry clients. The Opportunity - Schedule: Approximately 2 days per week of grooming (perfect for work-life balance) - Location: Servicing the Ottawa area; meet-up is in a Central Ottawa location. - Growth: Potential for more hours or an expanded role as we grow. - Bonus: If you enjoy dog walking or pet sitting, there are additional opportunities to pick up shifts! What You’ll Bring to the Van We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who treats every pet with patience and respect. - Expertise: Minimum 1 year of professional experience grooming both dogs and cats. - Stamina: Comfort standing for long shifts and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Reliability: Punctuality is a must, along with a clear criminal record check (we reimburse this after you pass your probationary period review.) - Tech Savvy: Comfortable managing schedules and communication via smartphone. - Local: Must be a local resident with a consistent way to reach our meet-up point. Your Typical Day - Styling: Executing breed-standard cuts, owner requests, and full cat grooms. - Hygiene Care: Handling the essentials; nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and thorough de-matting. - Wellness Checks: Identifying skin or health issues and communicating them clearly to pet parents. - Client Connection: Delivering friendly, professional service that keeps our local clients coming back.
