Morskate Manufacturing is currently seeking a motivated Production Line Welder to join our dynamic team of professionals on Night Shift. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing repetitive, high-quality welding operations on a production line to support daily manufacturing output. Your role will focus on efficiency, consistency, and maintaining strict quality and safety standards while meeting production schedules. Responsibilities - Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality to support production flow - Perform repetitive welding tasks on production components using processes such as GMAW (MIG), and other assigned methods - Operate within standardized fixtures, jigs, and workstations on a production line - Inspect welds and finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications - Perform basic grinding, deburring, and finishing as required - Follow established work instructions, procedures, and production schedules - Use basic measuring tools (tape measure, square, etc.) to verify part accuracy - Safely operate hand tools and production equipment including grinders, drills, and saws - Move materials using overhead crane or material handling equipment as required (training provided if needed) - Complete basic production tracking and reporting (counts, quality checks, sign-offs) - Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times - This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties. Requirements/Qualifications - 1st–3rd year welding apprentice or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment - Basic ability to read drawings or work instructions (training provided for simplified production layouts) - Familiarity with welding processes such as GMAW (MIG) - Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a strong focus on consistency and quality - Comfortable working in a structured production line environment - Good with numbers in regard to basic measurements and part verification - Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to work independently on assigned station and as part of a production team - Able to speak, read, and understand English clearly - Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow standardized procedures - Problem-solving mindset for minor production or quality issues Health & Safety Responsibilities - Active participation in company safety program - Follow safety protocol including wearing of required PPE and understanding and application of safety policies, procedures and practices What Morskate Manufacturing Offers - Permanent, year-round employment - Competitive wages - Night Shift Premium - Overtime after 8 hours a day / 44 hours a week - Benefits after 3 months of employment - 4% vacation pay plus statutory holiday pay - Guaranteed every Sunday off We offer competitive starting wages beginning at $24-30 per hour, with final rates determined by your experience, skill level, and how well you align with the role.
