Equipment Operator (Blackfalds)

Employment Duration: FULL TIME SEASONAL, May 1, 2026 to Aug 31st, 2026 – Extensions Available Job Duties: Primary duties include operating a Hagglund or Tractor Mower with preference given to those who have experience operating these pieces of equipment. Transporting your assigned equipment, and completing in-field documentation using a variety of technology, in-field ticketing, & online software solutions. Pre-Employment Qualifications: * Energetic & Positive Team Members * Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract * Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (2-day course) * H2S Alive (1-day course) * CSO * CSTS2020 All other training and certification will be provided by West Country. Employees can expect training in herbicide application, off-road UTV safety, T.D.G., map reading/GPS, W.H.M.I.S and oilfield/powerline safety. Compensation: Competitive starting wages with considerable overtime available. If you have experience in operating hagglunds or Agricultural tractors, or in the vegetation control industry wage offers will reflect this. This position will involve long days which often amount to maximum of 12 hours per day. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate, paid after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week. West Country will pay you while taking our in-house certification course to get an Assistant Applicator License. This position will involve working both locally and on the road with the majority of the work being on the road. When there is any "overnight" work on the road daily subsistence pay and lodging is supplied by the company.
