Every worker deserves to come home. That’s not a slogan at Shift OHS — it’s the reason we built everything we’ve built. Drug and Alcohol Testing. Occupational Health Testing. Cognitive Readiness. Fit for Duty Policy Development. Supervisor Training. We make the invisible, visible and are revolutionizing the way worker Fitness for Duty is assessed and managed. That work requires a team that runs well. And right now, we’re looking for the person who helps make that possible. What’s In It For You For someone with drive and a can-do attitude, the ceiling here is high. We’re a small business, which means no red tape. If you see a gap and you have an idea, you can run with it. Passion projects, process improvements, new initiatives — the people who create value beyond their role create real opportunities for themselves. We share in the wins. When the day comes to move on, the right person will walk out of here a sharper communicator, a more effective problem-solver, and genuinely a better version of themselves — in every area of their life. The skills you build here — having crucial conversations, working through conflict, owning your mistakes, advocating for yourself — don’t stay at the office. They follow you home. We’re eight years in, growing steadily, and we know exactly where we’re headed. Tight-knit, mostly women, one guy who holds his own — with big capabilities and bigger plans. This is a place to build something long-term. What You’ll Actually Do Our Client & Office Support Specialist is the connective tissue of a fast-moving occupational health clinic. You keep bookings accurate, results moving, clients welcomed, and the team supported. Your first 90 days — the administrative backbone - Schedule satellite testing appointments across
Canada — obtaining client details, booking collection sites, creating work orders, and notifying clients - Audit daily testing paperwork for accuracy and completeness — cross-referencing, flagging discrepancies, and following up - Report test results – verbally and through our electronic portal - Complete occupational health filing and send out supplies to our Nationwide Partners Weeks nine through twelve — reception cross-training - Direct a high volume of inbound calls - Greet and check in every in-person client - Manage lab and MRO portals, match results to work orders, coordinate daily couriers - Work toward rotating seats with the receptionist on a scheduled job-share basis This is a structured investment in you. We don’t throw people in and see what sticks. Beyond cross-training, if you’re ready: BAT Technician certification and DOT Drug Collector training are on the table. You’ll Know You’re Winning When… - Bookings are confirmed and clients notified within 30 minutes — consistently - You’re independently managing 40–60 bookings a day with accuracy - Drug and alcohol results are reported within 1 hour of completion; occupational health results within 4 hours - You can hold both bookings and reporting simultaneously during moderate volume - Every walk-in client is greeted the moment they come through the door - You receive feedback, respond with ownership, and ask at least one question about how to grow from it - Friction with a teammate or client gets addressed directly and in the moment — not carried, not avoided Who You Are You move with urgency, think in solutions, and communicate directly — even when it’s uncomfortable. Our best people are master question-askers who bring problems to the table already attached to possible answers. They laugh when things get chaotic — and then they buckle down. We talk about playing above the line here. Above the line is ownership, honesty, and action. Below the line is blame, deflection, and going through the motions. How you show up for this team matters as much as what you produce — and we’ve learned, sometimes the hard way, that those aren’t the same thing. This role will suit you if - You take pride in accuracy because the work matters, not because someone’s watching - You ask for help as readily as you offer it - You can take direct feedback, own it, and grow — without making it personal - You’re comfortable with a role that is versatile and evolves – the day and the situation shape your priorities as much as any - You genuinely care about doing the work well — not performatively. Actually care. Salary and Benefits Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour Benefits - On-site parking - Paid time off Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pck4x
